Riley's First Tailgate and Hockey Game

On Sunday Courtney and I decided to take Riley to his first hockey game. With it being the playoffs and against the NJ Devils, we knew it would be hard to get tickets. So I started and ended my search with Uncle Mike Pratt. He wound up having an extra pair. He actually gave us his tickets that were 7 rows off the ice. As you can see, the seats were AWESOME (thank you Mike and Jenn).
With it being a nice day, Mike the TAILGATE MASTER prepared the spread. Jenn and Mike invited us to this world class tailgate. We sat in the parking lot for about an hour and then headed in.
With the parking lot opening at 4pm, you can imagine the amount of drunk Hurricanes fans. With all the cheering going on, Riley was very nervous and actually started to cry. Once we got in, all the lights were off and the crowd was cheering "LETS GO CANES". This continued to make Riley feel uneasy.
Once the lights came on, and the game started Riley loved all the action. The game started at 7:30 (Riley's bedtime) and wound up going into overtime. The little man loved the game and actually walked back to the car. He then fell asleep in the car around 11pm. I think we have a little sports fan on our hands. Since the game he has been saying "Less o ahns" and when asked if he was to go to another hockey game, his answer is YESH!!

After Riley's haircut, we headed over to the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. After searching for the eggs, all the kids headed to the cul-de-sac for the confetti eggs. One of our neighbors blows the eggs, dyes them and then fills each one with confetti. Then each kid gets 6 eggs to break and empty the confetti. As you can see from the video, Riley had a blast with his. With it being Masters Friday, Courtney thought it would be appropriate for Riley to wear the blue Masters shirt that grandpa gave him last year.
