North American Animals at NC Zoo

After lunch we went to the N. American side of the zoo. Riley fell asleep after we saw the cougar...so he missed Willy the polar bear, seals, and sea lions. Maybe next time...

Zoo Continued

Riley was in complete awe when he saw the size of the elephants. He immediately started making his elephant noises and laughed the whole time. We wish you all could have see his reaction.

Our trip to the NC Zoo

As many of you know, Riley loves to walk around making elephant and chicken sounds. Due to his love for animals and his big animal book, we decided to take him to the zoo. As you can see from these pictures, he was in complete amazement. The first animal he saw was the giraffe and his expression says it all. It took us about 3 hours to view Africa. From there we went back to the car and ate our picnic lunch. After lunch we headed for the N. America exhibit. Riley only stayed awake to see the cougar. I guess the excitement of Africa really wore him out. Enjoy the pictures.

The NC Zoo lies on 500 acres of land that is connected by 5 miles of paved pathways. There are over 1,100 animals and nearly 40,000 species of plants.

Our new Bikes!!

Last weekend we bought new bikes and hit the NC Tobacco trail. Riley had a great time looking at the dogs and the "BIG DOG" (which was really a horse!). We hope you enjoy these pictures.
